Pet Food Ingredient Silo Replacement and Install
RPM Builds Successfully Replaces Pet Food Ingredient Storage Silos for Production Facility
"The RPM team takes pride in being presented with challenging problems, then providing our customers a solution to fit their needs," said Aaron Arb, Vice President of Construction of RPM Builds. "This project is an example of using our expertise in the planning stages all the way to execution."
The large project was an innovative endeavor for RPM Builds. It was divided into three phases, all involving the replacement of old chime tanks with flat panel (RTP) tanks. To ensure that the Pet Food Producers's operations were not interrupted, RPM Builds worked quickly and efficiently to tear down and build the new silos. Phase one of the project began with the general arrangement phase, in which RPM Builds took field measurements to ensure that the skirt openings of the tanks were aligned with existing equipment. They also managed to keep the screw conveyors to the silos adjacent and in place during the teardown and installation of the new silos. As a subcontractor, RPM Builds collaborated closely with the supplier to ensure the project went smoothly.
In the upcoming phase three, RPM Builds will be responsible for taking down and installing the new storage silos directly for the client.
