Frac Sand Storage Silo - Turnkey Design Build
RPM Builds celebrated the successful completion of a major Frac Sand Producer’s newest facility, delivering (4) 4700-ton bolted silos and equipment in record time.
Having provided construction management support and field installation on various projects and job sites for this major Frac Sand Producer, RPM Builds established a solid alliance and trusted working relationship. Consequently, in Q4-2021, RPM Builds was enlisted to relocate (3) three bolted TecTank-CP silos from Fairview, Montana to Merryville, Louisiana. The successful completion of the project in just 90 days added 9000 tons of storage and three additional dedicated truck load-out lanes to the facility.
Consequently in May of 2022, following the successful execution, the producer outlined the working parameters of their newest facility and signed a turnkey agreement with RPM Builds to deliver and install (4) 4700-ton bolted silos, (2) 150-foot tall bucket elevators, truck loading system, diverters, and chutes before the end of the year. However, suppliers' backlogs had grown to an unprecedented duration of 26-32 weeks, making the project's tight lead-time seem impossible. Despite the challenge, RPM Builds leveraged their Critical Path Management methodology to create and implement a strategy to finish the project on time and within budget.
